Privacy and cookies
This website is run by Mbuni Tented Camps. Here is what happens to the details you share with us, in plain language.
When you enquire
Our enquiry forms ask for the details we need to answer you: the camp or location you have in mind, your dates (or the month you are considering), how many adults and children are travelling and the children’s ages, the rooms you need, any extras, your message, and your name, email address, phone number and country.
We use these details to reply with availability and a quote, and to arrange your stay if you book. The enquiry is sent by email to our reservations team at bookings@mbunitentedcamps.com. We do not send automatic replies, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
The form also tells us which page or widget you enquired from and the screen size of your device, so that we can trace a problem if a form misbehaves.
Keeping your details safe
Your enquiry travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). To block spam, our enquiry service keeps a scrambled (hashed) record of your connection address for up to 24 hours, and a scrambled record of each enquiry so that the same one is not sent twice. These records cannot be turned back into your address or your details.
How long we keep them
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any booking that follows. Email us at any time to have them deleted.
WhatsApp, phone and email
If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy terms. Email and phone calls pass through your own providers in the usual way. Our WhatsApp and phone number is +255 686 703 384.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising or social-media trackers, and it stores nothing on your device. Our enquiry forms work without cookies.
Typefaces and links to other sites
The typeface on this website is loaded from Google Fonts. As with any file loaded from the web, your browser requests it from Google’s servers, which can see your IP address and browser details.
Links to Tripadvisor, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Google Maps open those services, each with its own privacy terms.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted: email bookings@mbunitentedcamps.com. You can also enquire by phone or WhatsApp instead of using the form.
