Serene comfort, in the heart of the wild
Mbuni Tented Camps takes its name from the Swahili word for ostrich. Both camps keep one promise: that you are looked after, from your first welcome to your last morning. Our team is on hand around the clock, every meal is prepared for you, your tent is made ready while you are out, and the welcome back at the end of each day is as warm as the first.

A seasonal camp with two homes: less than a 10-minute drive from the Mara River from June to October, and on the Ndutu plains from December to March.

Wildlife moves freely through the area, and animals sometimes pass close to camp. At every camp, a member of our team walks you to and from your tent after dark: it is standard practice for all guests. -

When is Mbuni Migration Camp at Kogatende, and when is it at Ndutu?
It is a seasonal camp. It stands at Mara 10, Kogatende, in Northern Serengeti from 1 June to 31 October, and at Ndepes 03 in Ndutu, on the Ngorongoro Conservation Area side, from 1 December to 31 March.
Are the camps fenced, and how do you keep guests safe?
Our camps are unfenced, so wildlife can pass close to the tents. At every camp and location, a member of our team walks you to and from your tent after dark. It is standard practice for all guests, every night.
Are children welcome, and how are they charged?
Yes. Children aged 0 to 5 stay free, children aged 6 to 12 pay 50% of the adult rate, and guests aged 13 and over pay the full adult rate.
How do I book?
Send us an enquiry with your dates and who is travelling, and we’ll reply with availability and a quote. A 20% deposit secures your booking, and full payment is due 30 days before arrival.
